Project Information
The Department of Planning & Infrastructure (DP&I) Urban Activation Precinct (UAP) programme aims to deliver more homes in places with access to infrastructure, transport, services and jobs.
Through DP&I’s investigation of existing planning controls and potential uplift, the Department aims to provide a SEPP amendment to Local Government Planning Controls to facilitate the provision of greater housing choices, increased amenities, services and improved public spaces.
Aver Involvement
Aver were initially engaged by the DP&I UAP team to prepare a Base Programme and estimate resourcing strategies for eight Urban Activation Precincts.
Following the completion of base UAP programmes, Aver was engaged as Project Managers to coordinate the delivery of Structure Plans for three UAP’s comprising of Mascot Station, Randwick and Anzac Parade South which included:
- Develop a delivery strategy and programme.
- Provide strategic development and market advice.
- Procurement and management of Consultants.
- Management of Key Stakeholder requirements including Light Rail Project Team, University of NSW, Australian Turf Club, Community Engagement and Local Government.
- Preparation of the UAP Structure Plan for exhibition and assessment by the Minister for Planning.
- All reporting and other services required by DP&I Project Team.
