Project Information

Football NSW have, after a comprehensive facilities strategy and property search (undertaken by Aver) redeveloped their existing 12 Ha facility at Valentine Sports Park. The works included upgrading 2 of their existing 5 grass playing fields to synthetic FIFA 2 Star all-weather fields, a new “Home of Football” which incorporated administration, spectator and player facilities, refurbishment of existing accommodation block and an upgrade to their existing Futsal Court to an international standard.

Aver Involvement

Aver were engaged by Football NSW to manage the total Project requirement including:

  • Funding Agreement negotiations and submissions to Federal and State Governments
  • Developing a Property Brief including needs analysis and criteria and stakeholder engagement
  • Targeted search of available properties using known developers, agents and landowners
  • Design team engagement and design development and Statutory Approval.
  • Competitive D&C Tender and Superintendent Services for the Redevelopment for both building and field works.
  • Preparation of an Integrated Water Cycle Management Plan using runoff from synthetic fields to make Valentine Sports Part self-sufficient in its irrigation requirements.

Aver’s key deliverables for the project were:

  • Installation and construction of three FIFA ‘2’ Star rated synthetic all-weather playing fields as well as two natural grass playing fields.
  • Construction of a new ‘Home of Football’ building, which will also act as a grandstand and office space for FNSW staff.
  • Delivery of a completely new International Level Futsal Centre.
  • Delivery of a 200 person multi-use event space and adjoining catering building.
  • Complete refurbishment of existing 60 room accommodation building.
